That’s so Raven!
DUBSTEP!!
Hot mic…
Edison out.
Herb Welch breaks the law of space and time to smack an OWS hippie (Eli Manning) with his reporter’s mic.
“Welcome back to Politically Incorrect, my guests are Bobcat Goldthwait and Arsenio Hall.” — Bill Maher
Referencing Omar from “The Wire” on “Community.”
They even got the medical examiner from Law & Order to guest star on this amazing Community episode.
Yeeehawww, Jester’s dead!! No wait, he’s guest starring on Community! Michael Ironside, who I know best from Top Gun, plays, who else, a man in uniform in last night’s epic Law & Order-themed episode about the mysterious murder of a yam.
Look, it’s the second black person in Game of Thrones! Season 2 Episode 4. O_o Dude kinda looks like a bigger version of Wayne Brady.
“If I had known you were coming as Deep Throat, I would have worn my trenchcoat.”
The Ken Burns style Community episode is PURE GENIUS!
[“The Killing” SPOILERS]
I’ve spent my long weekend re-watching season one of The Killing, which has just begun it’s second season.
The best part of re-watching any dramatic series, especially a series long “who done it?” mystery, is picking out the clues the show drops throughout the length of the season. The thing that drove me nuts was how the key ring found with Rosie is teased over and over throughout the season.
Knowing that it connects her to the indian casino later in the season, it drives me crazy how Linden overlooks the keyring and doesn’t try to figure out what it means. When they are given the evidence by the Lieutenant, she and Holder both give a good look at it before putting it down.
This happens over and over, at least three times throughout the season. They’ve reached a dead end and they are going over pictures and evidence. Linden picks up the keyring and looks at it, but it’s always in the middle of a conversation that distracts her and she puts the ring down.
Then Linden is given Rosie’s video by the teacher, which she and Holder look through. She pauses on a few still and asks for some printouts (seen hanging on the wall in the picture above). For some reason she asked for a printout of the reflection of the casino logo, but when waves are going through the water obscuring it’s actual shape. But when watching the movie, we see a clear view of the logo before the waves obscure it. Why ask for the obscured one?
The final time we see the key ring before Linden discovers the casino is in the shot above. Bennet is in the hospital and they’re at another dead end. Not only does she look at the key again, but she holds it up right infront of the blurry printout of the logo (see above). Her right forefinger even points to the photo to us, the viewer.
Finally, by chance, on a morning run, Linden discovers the Adela ferry and eventually the casino, and when we see the logo it seems so familiar because we’ve been seeing it the whole season.
It’s frustrating to me that she has to accidentally stumble onto the casino, not use some detective work to figure it out herself.
The other thing that bugs me is the pink Grand Canyon shirt. The Killing repeatedly leads us to believe that Linden is hot on the killer’s heels. First we’re sure it’s one of the boys in cellar, then we’re certain it’s the shady Bennet, and eventually we’re sure it’s Richmond. We’re convinced of Bennet’s guilt because they found Rosie’s pink shirt in the room where they were hiding the muslim runaways.
But then, surprise, it’s not her shirt, just one that some other girl just happened to have that was nearly the same. What? That’s just too coincidental. Sorry. With the boys, it made sense that Sterling was posing as Rosie in the video because that’s actually clever and fits with her character. And with Richmond, it makes sense that he was missing and wet Friday night because he tried to throw himself off a bridge because he’s depressed about his dead wife. This is just a bit lazy writing I think. But I can overlook it for this great series.
So anyway… who done it?
